It's not exactly the Mayflower but this boat filled with flowers gave visitors a nice cheery welcome to the village of Gatcombe.

45's IN GLOUCESTER

This was "45's" in Gloucester - an independent record shop that sold cd's, vinyl, cassettes and gig tickets, as well as supplying a generous amount of flyers for raves and so on.
It's the same shop but caught in 2 different time periods in 2 different locations.
The top image is dated 1998 - the flyer on the door for an Astralasia gig in Lydney, confirms that.
When that closed down, they opened their new premises just around the corner from the old shop - the store in the 2nd picture.
The window display for The Cure's "Bloodflowers" album, dates that photo to 2000.

THE GAME'S UP!

I was out and about having a summers amble around the Port Ham area this particular day, when I caught sight of this cow.
Absolutely useless at hide-and-seek it was!

FOR FLOCK SAKE!

When I was on my bike exploring the Chestnuts Hill area one day, I spotted these geese in someones back yard playing a game of musical chairs!

OLD SHACK

I really liked the tumbledown look of this old shack tucked away in the woods at Cranham.
It reminded me of the kind a prospector might build - although as far as I'm aware, there isn't any gold in them thar hills!
