This is one of the older photos I have which goes back to the very early 90's or maybe even late 80's - it's the Blinking Owl pub in Gloucester.
The last time I passed by the building, it hadn't changed much, but it became known as the Fox & Elm sometime around the early/mid 90's, and as far as I know, it still is.
I think I prefer The Blinking Owl name though - it sounds as if drinking there would have been a real hoot!!
This pub was originally called the Fox & Elm but changed to its "wacky" '80s name... before changing back again. I always used to call it The Yawning Frog... just thought it sounded better :-)
