THE PHEASANT

This old pub sign no longer exists.
The Pheasant, located around Staverton way, closed down and was later transformed into an Indian restaurant called "The Pavillion".
The sign was actually right across the road from the pub, but today, although the post is still in the same position, the sign itself has since been taken down.
For some reason, the Indian restaurant does have it spelt as Pavillion (with 2 LL's) on the building, but according to my dictionary, it is spelt with 1 L, as in Pavilion..!!
