DERELICT DOCKS

I really liked the run down look of this dilapidated building near Gloucester docks.
Not sure how the central part of the building managed to get a large chunk ripped out of it mind you because the surrounding structure is still fairly intact to a certain extent, but the wild plant life has made a pretty good home for itself - it's even reached the rooftop!
Incidentally, in case you thought that there must have been a lot of debris flying around in the air when I took the picture, well no, I just decided to oomph the image up a bit by adding a touch of grunge!

  1. That central area used to be the old West Midland Farmers' grain store, with a silo on the far side and a funnel for delivering grain to lorries below. I'd imagine the funnel leading to grain barges on the canal was ripped out without much care and attention, leaving the ragged mess behind :-)

  2. That makes sense - then off to the scrap yard!
